Christian-themed Narnia popular with all audiences
"The first film, for me, was about faith. And the message of this film (the soon to be released Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian) is about losing faith and regaining it. These are important themes regardless of which faith you follow."
The Edmonton Sun [CA] reports But producer Mark Johnson says much of the $700-plus million box office for the movie debut The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe came from surprising places. "A lot of the world certainly didn't see the film as a Christian film," he says. "It did really well in Muslim countries and it did really well in Israel. It was successful all over the world.
